Bank Holiday Traffic

Those of you who 'got away' for the bank holiday and suffered from overcrowding at the airport might like to know how many passengers went through the England's main airports this weekend:

Heathrow: 800,000
Gatwick: 510,000
Manchester: 331,000
Stanstead: 320,000
Liverpool John Lennon: 77,000

Interestingly the trend for staying in Britain for holidays has resulted in an increase in the number of Britons flying to UK destinations. This weekend 20,000 people flew between London and Scotland.

No wonder check-in was crowded!
