Flying Redefines Our (Media) Language

This is how one frequent flyer described a recent trip on which she had a six-hour delay. "I would say the trip back was quite a hassle, maybe more like a nightmare." So in addition to everything else flying and airlines are helping to redefine our language. Now a 6-hour delay is bad news but a nightmare? Soon we'll be in the position where news reports have to start talking of double nightmares or triple nightmares in order to get the correct emphasis into their reports
