A few years ago a Canadian man went to Los Angeles Airport wanting to fly to Australia. He was frustrated to be refused a ticket when his credit cards were found to be invalid. Such was his desperation to get ‘Down Under’ that he decided to take the perfectly reasonable step of stripping naked and running over the tarmac before leaping into the wheel compartment of a moving Boeing 747.
The aircraft stopped and the man was arrested. A spokesperson for the airport, noted that he could have been sucked into an engine, crushed when the landing gear retracted or frozen to death naked at 30,000 feet. “This was an extremely dangerous thing for him to do.”
