Beijing Expansion
The new terminal at Beijing airport in China is on course to open early in 2008. Designed by Norman Foster, Terminal 3 of the city's international airport will be the world's largest air terminal. It covers 245 acres, which is bigger than all 5 Heathrow terminals combined. It will be capable of handling 90 million passengers annually, dwarfing Heathrow's 67.7 million.
