A Class Thing

Recently deceased nightclub owner Mark Birley made a contribution to the airline cabin class divide. His obituary in the Daily Telegraph reports that the founder of Annabel's nightclub and famous dandy (his socks were made to measure) was once asked by a stewardess during a flight (this was clearly some time ago) to extinguish his Cohiba cigar since the fumes were upsetting passengers in economy. Birley replied "I have not complained about the smell down there. Why should they complain about that up here?"
