Is it an Beer, Is it an Airline, Gadzooks It's Both!

United Breweries is the world’s second largest and are based in Bangalore in India. They were founded by a Scotsman named Thomas Leishman back in 1957 and initially made their money from selling beer to British troops in India. In the 1960s they introduced their Kingfisher beer, which is well known in Indian restaurants in Britain.

Two years ago the UB group started Kingfisher Airlines, making them the only known brewer to have their own planes – Airbus A320s. They feel domestically in India but have announced plans to start flying to New York with A380s.
