Better Late...

Only 18 months behind schedule, the cause of enormous write-offs and a followed by a restructuring plan forecast to see 10,000 job losses, the first gargantuan Airbus A380 superjumbo was delivered at the beginning of this week. Hailed at its conception as the future of air travel, the monster aircraft has been the cause of some awful headaches for its manufacturer. As Tom Enders (the fifth chief executive of Airbus) recently noted, it will still be a "challenge" to meet future deliveries.
