Surf's (not) Up

Any of you dudes planning to 'hang ten' had better not book with British Airways to get to where the surf's at. Yup, the world's (but not, it seems, the adrenaline junky's) favourite airline has decided to ban surf boards from all flights effective November 6th. Not content with annoying the rip curl loving community, they've also decided to disallow windsurfing boards and sails, canoes, hang gliders and (bizarrely) javelins. It's all in the name of avoiding handling problems caused by the "large size and handling complexities" of the items. No mention of skis or snowboards, though. Hmmmm.
