Wakey Wakey

The pilot and co-pilot of an Airbus A319 had red faces last week when they admitted to both being asleep at the controls as their aircraft came into land at Denver after a night time flight from Baltimore. They were woken up by an air traffic controller yelling over the radio when he spotted them coming in for landing too high and too fast.

As the saying goes "I hate to wake up and find my co-pilot asleep!"

A friend of mine claims he was allowed a seat in the cockpit of a flight from London to Havana once. He fell asleep soon after take-off to find the windows covered by a newspaper to keep the sun out, pilot no longer there and the co-pilot asleep!
